Years ago, (even in the online world), you wouldn’t have even heard the terminology added value. Now this term is commonplace. At least with the information that I see in front of me everyday. What does this have to do with online businesses?

In today’s virtual world, added value has everything to do with your online business. This is no longer your dad’s business! This is the world of making it happen and providing value to your customers. You are no longer in the business of simply providing a product or service for your customer. It goes beyond that.

YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS AND YOUR CUSTOMER

Now is not the time to take your customer for granted. If you do, you will lose not only your customer but you will lose your business. I think Steve Jobs said it best. “You don’t give the customer what they want because they don’t know what they want.” Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was a master of delivering products. It didn’t start when the customer approached his store. It started when he had his Master Mind Sessions. During these sessions, all product possibilities were discussed then a handful were selected to go on for production.

The question of the day is this: ARE YOU SELLING WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS OR ARE YOU PROVIDING ADDED VALUE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS?

YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS WILL FIND YOUR CUSTOMER

Too many times, people get caught up in a product that will sell itself! One well known marketer once commented regarding this: they said the product would sell itself. I placed the product on my front lawn and went to bed. the next morning, the product was still there. Therefore, I conclude the PRODUCT DOES NOT SELL ITSELF!

I own horses and live in Greeley, Colorado. I can go into town and buy horse feed at a few locations. However, I am from New York City. When I go back for a visit, I do not expect to find a Feed Store in the middle of town. With 12 Million potential customers, I would suspect it to become a dismal failure!

Here is one last thought for you to dwell on.

Concentrate on the Value you want to Add for the customer and match the customer to that Product.
