Someone Left the Cake….
I DON’T THINK I CAN TAKE IT
You have to determine what the meaning of words to a song mean to you when you hear it. You may hear someone say: Life is but a Song. The truth being told, Songs are about life!
For example, Richard Harris song (Mac Arthur Park) has these lyrics in it: someone left the cake out in the rain. I don’t think I can take it cause it took so long to bake it and I’ll never have that recipe again, Oh No
I grew up with this song playing in my head when it wasn’t playing on the radio. Have you ever had a picnic and suddenly there is a down pour that you didn’t have time to get the food to shelter?
Imagine if that cake is your life. Now what does the song mean? Is Life but a song or is the song about life?
TAKE IT TO A NEW LEVEL WITH AN ONLINE BUSINESS
LIFE IS A SONG when you write the lyrics. If someone left your cake out in the rain, maybe it is time to move the event out of the rain.
The words to Mac Arthur Park were just words to sing along when I first heard them. As time went by, they seem to take on new meaning. Although I take quite comfort in the job I do and I am ok with what I get paid, the reality sets in from time to time. The other day, someone asked me at work: “What will you do when you can no longer do these things you do?” (referring to physical things) I commented back with one word: “retire”
I feel fortunate that I have the “job satisfaction” I have. There are multitudes of people that do not have the satisfaction. For them, someone left their cake out in the rain!
They had the rain in the form of:
-lack of job satisfaction
-lack of adequate employment or pay
-lack of a receptive work environment
The list goes on and on. My husband had jobs where “all the above applied”. For him, the answer was to take life to a new level with an online business.
As he puts it: IT’S TIME TO TAKE THE CAKE INSIDE AND EAT IT!
