Culture of Compumatrix
CULTURE OF A COMMUNITY
We have been exclaiming our “family” here at Compumatrix for just a number of years. We have been like family where we love each other (and fight like brothers and sisters). This is the culture of our community.
So, what are we talking about with community culture?
Community Culture is the shared set of beliefs, expectations, values, desires and rituals that influence the ways in which individuals, groups, and teams will interact with one another and collaborate to achieve common objectives. (https://www.govdelivery.com/)
CULTURE OF COMPUMATRIX
What does it mean to become a member of the Compumatrix community?
Before we get to this, you might want to understand what the culture of a community means. I know you are familiar with some of these communities around you that are based in business. After all, do you know where 3 or more Starbucks Coffee Shops are? Are you reading this blog on your Apple I-phone or Mac computer. The person (maybe you) with your I-phone may be one of those that stood on line to be one of the first with the latest Apple products. You probably can’t think about buying from another company.
With Compumatrix, we have our own community. To understand this better, go to You Tube and do a search for this video: Amanda Palmer: The art of asking. The reason you need to watch this is to get an insight to the possibilities of a culture community. In her video, Amanda talks about people driving by shouting: “get a job”. She recognized that they did not relate to her community. They did not see/find/understand the connection that she formed with other people and they were outside of this connection.
Many people will come to us here at Compumatrix and not be able to find this connection. They will be gone and like the customer that did not accept the waitresses offer of coffee, they are not important. Who is important is the person that gazes in our eyes and connects with our community. Maybe this may not be eye to eye contact but the relationship is important just the same.
