Self-esteem is vital. Feeling good about who you’re and having confidence in yourself are things everyone should do, but many don’t. The matter often lies therein. They struggle to try to do something when they’re younger and fail at it. If it happens quite once, they start to lose confidence in their abilities and too repeatedly, never gain it back.
Often, self-esteem keeps us from reaching our goals. If you don’t feel good about yourself, you regularly don’t realize things you’re good at. When you’re told negative things about yourself from childhood, it’s hard to show those feelings around. It’s time you stop giving yourself a pity party. Open your eyes. Dig deep inside yourself and find out what it’s that creates you special. You’ll do it!
If we take the recent example of COVID-19, has made everything topsy turvy, and gasping for breath. These include startups, established companies, shops, vendors, employees, colleges, schools, cinema halls, restaurants, and more.
Undoubtedly, people from different walks of life took some time to overcome the shock and get adjusted to lockdowns. But once lockdowns were relaxed and activities are permitted in phases, those with self-confidence started looking at the damage and came out with methods to be in business. Businesses, companies began working online. Teaching has gone online.
Ups and downs are typical in every field, and most unforeseen things may happen, which are not in our control, but we should remain steady and robust. We should never give up our self-esteem and self-confidence. Positive self prompting keeps a person constant and sturdy. If we lose confidence, we are gone. We are solely responsible for making or breaking ourselves.
Take the example of our company, Compumatrix. When many top companies have fallen apart, Compumatrix has overcome all hurdles. The founder of the company had a vision and a dream. He did not stop with just dreaming. He has the courage and conviction to keep his self-esteem, along with Compumatrix, intact. Remaining like a mountain, even when mountains have become stones and flew away with the pandemic.
How to Find Your Expertise
You may be saying, “You don’t know me. I don’t have anything I’m good at.” You can say that until you’re blue in the face, and I’ll never believe it. Why? It’s simple. I’ve been there and done that. I’d say everyone has felt like they’re not good at one point in our lives. It’s time to get over that negative self-talk and move on to find that talent that is buried within you.
There are several ways to find out what your expertise is. Of course, if your opinion is that you can’t do anything, don’t rely on yourself for impartial judgment on that. You are, however, an excellent place to start.
Will you be good at everything you try? Of course not! No one is good at everything. You can find what you are good at, however. Maybe you love the theater. You may have a life-time dream of being an actor/actress. The problem is…you can’t act. Acting is a talent. You either have it, or you don’t. Sometimes you can take every class or training course there is in a subject, and know that you’ll never be more than mediocre. Does that mean you still can’t work doing something you love? NO—you have to look at the alternatives.
Maybe you’re a good organizer and planner. Perhaps that dream you have of being an actor/actress gives you a vision. Instead of wasting money on acting lessons, you can train to be a director. I’m sure you understand what I’m trying to tell you. Please take what you’re good at and work it into something you feel passionate about. Then, you’ll enjoy your work. You’ll be better at it, and feel better about yourself.
To keep yours and your followers self-esteem and self-confidence high, you should have a plan. A strategy, trusted employees, commitment to achieve success, and a strong will and determination to turn hurdles into opportunities.
Do you want to make or break yourself? Do you have the determination to turn problems into opportunities? Do you feel that you will win, come what may? Do you have the positive thinking to see the bright side of the future, then, you have self-esteem and self-confidence, and no one can put you down from your goals.
You only can say about yourself that you are a person with self-esteem and self-confidence.
